We know what you're thinking: 'Why are you trying to make a music streaming service to compete with Spotify and Apple Music, they already dominate the market.' If you think that, you're right; they do. We agree that these platforms are great, but we think they can be better.
Spotify and Apple Music are great for people who love listening to mainstream artists, as they are designed to promote popular or 'viral' songs. This is ok, but it can be very difficult for people who like music that is a bit different or want to discover new artists to do this with that system.
Another similar problem with the streaming giants is that it is hard for new and smaller artists to get their content discovered. A new band or solo artist could be really talented, but lack the money to promote their content to a bigger audience. We believe it is the streaming platform's responsibility to encourage the growth of its artists, as all it does is further develop the industry.
Our response to this at Sky Enterprises is Theatro Music. We want to create a platform that not only helps promote new and upcoming artists, but makes it easy for the users to discover these artists and any new music they might enjoy.
We believe that Theatro Music has the potential to change the music streaming industry for the better by encouraging the growth of new artists. However, due to the size and complexity of the project, it will be difficult for us to complete it at the moment. For Theatro Music to have a higher chance of having a successful launch, we need to release a few other projects first to help grow the company. This means the project is only in early concept development. Check out our Roadmap for an idea about our company 'plan'.
We want Theatro Music to be designed for the users, regardless of whether you are an artist or a listener, so we value your feedback.
